Remember Columbine

Description

Yes, I know April 20th was 2 days ago. Yesterday, when I was GONNA post it, dA went into "read-only" mode. I had hoped to wait it out, but it was past 2, and it STILL HADN'T CAME OUT.
I had to go to sleep. So, here it is.

Originally, I was gonna do "Savvy-chan, Mariah, Abs, Babs, Tabitha, Adam, Lauren, Adrianna", but I didn't remember what Lauren and Adrianna looked like. (...So what? I'm bad with names, but not faces...) Anyway, I changed Lauren to Teresa, my BFF, and Adrianna to Ashley, my friend from FFPS who was really supportive and was sad that she wasn't with me during the "Columbine Movement." (Or, that's what I called it. It sounds cool, so what?)

So, from left to right it's:
Savvy-chan, Mariah (me), Abs, Babs, Tabitha, Adam, Teresa, and Ashley.
And, I drew all of us how we look like in real life.

I'm happy with our expressions, and lower-body wear (Especially Savvy-chan's socks and my pants). Also, Babs' hair. That just turned out awesomely.

ONTO THE COLUMBINE MOVEMENT...

First, Tabitha came up to me, Abs and Savvy-chan on Wednesday, and showed us this shirt that said:
"Remember Columbine!
15 Dead
23 Injured
3 Hours
2 Gunmen
1 School
1 Word:
WHY?
"
She told us that she needed 14 other people to help her, because she needed 15 people to wear the shirt. She had 2 spots open.
I was like, "Hell yeah, I'll do that!"
Savvy-chan just said, "Jimmy wouldn't let me", and Abs agreed also.

So, then, on Friday, Abs, 13 other people, and I wore our Columbine shirts to school. I started calling the entire plan the "Columbine Movement".
Abs and I were the only people who wore it UNDERNEATH our shirts.
I had also made some posters to give to teachers, and post up around school.
So, all of the teachers I gave it to said yes, and I put up one of my posters, and 3 other peoples poster around school before school on Friday.
After talking and having fun with Tabitha and other Columbine Movement members, we noticed that our principal, Mr. Wheat, was getting a little too close to our posters.
We started watching him.
After about 5 minutes of wandering around us, and talking into his radio, he TORE DOWN ONE OF OUR POSTERS!!!
We all talked and chatted saying things like, "Oh my God!" and, "How could he!" and, "He just tore it down!" along with a few, "That bastard!"
So, we found out that if we were near our poster, then he wouldn't actually tear it down...But, he did.
Tear down MY poster, that is.
So, after tearing down the rest of our posters (and glares from Tabitha and cussings from Adam and mói), he finally gathered us all with T-shirts.
I was with them.
"No, you can leave," he said.
I lifted up my top shirt, revealing the bottom one. "No, I can't. I'm in this also."
He shrugged, and said, "Well, it's not visible, so, I'm not gonna worry."
The hell you shouldn't.
So, he started lecturing us on "how we can't do these things on your own. You must have administration accept it."
Bastard.
So, after that, he asked us why.
I said, "For Columbine."
Tabitha said, "We want people to remember it."
He said, "Well, we're gonna do a moment of silence for the tragedy at Virginia Tech.--"
"We don't want Virginia Tech. We want Columbine. It's Co-lum-bine," Tabitha interjected.
"Yes, well, we're also going to memorialize that," Mr. Wheat said. "Do you all have other shirts? None of you may wear this shirt."
Everyone agreed, and they left to take off their shirts.
I stayed behind!
So, I was talking with Adam, Babs, and a few other girls, and we all agreed that "JMS" was now "Shitopia". I also wrote on his face with "4-20-99".
Babs agreed, and I wrote on HER face with "Remember Columbine!" on her forehead, "15 dead" on her right cheek, "23 injuries" on her left cheek, and "4-20-99" on her chin. (Hence, the writing on her face in the drawing.)
Anyway, everyone came back, and we wrote on faces/hands some more.
After the announcement, Mr. Wheat came on and said, "Today, we are all going to spend a minute to remember the tragedy at Virginia Tech.--"
Oh my GOD! What a fuckin BASTARD!!
"--and all of the victims families. Also, as many students remembered, to day is also the 8th year anniversary of the Columbine shooting--"
YEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!
Abs and me shared a congradulatory smile and fist in the air across the room.
"--so, we are all with them."

After lunch, I met with Tabitha, Adam and Babs. Tabitha had wiped off her black lipstick, Adam had no writing on his face OR his arm, and Babs had no writing on her face.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Apparently, Shitopia is wrong," Adam replied coolly.
"They think I WANT the Columbine shooting to happen again," Babs sighed.
"The idiots made me wash off my lipstick," Tabitha fumed. "Hmph. Why not just make me naked?!"

Right before 4th period, Tabitha met back up with me in the hall. She was wearing her lipstick.
I was about to do my usual "Godspeed" greeting that I did for every Columbine Movement member, but she spoke up before me.
"I put it back on!" She smiled, pointing to her lips. "What are they gonna do now?"

After school, I was in the restroom, when I started hearing things like, "I need my shirt, those fuckers." and, "Who has a washable marker?" and, "Ha-ha! My shirt is back!" and, "Man, those idiots stretched out my shirt!"
When I opened up the stall door, the entire bathroom was flooded with Columbine Movement members or supporters, all talking.
"Hey, Mariah!" Tabitha said, coming out of the stall beside me, her Columbine Movement shirt on.
I smiled, and ripped off my top shirt. Proudly displaying my Columbine Movement shirt I said, "What are those fuckers gonna do now?"

Anyway, that day was really fun...And, we all LOVED IT.
